[ Nonstick Coating Pans ] Clean them with dish soap. Pans need to be cleaned after every use in order to get rid of the grease film on the surface. This film will not go away completely if you clean the pans with paper tower or just water and, the film residue could leave stains if you use the pans without cleaning them properly. Do not clean nonstick coating pans with scouring powder or scouring sponges. The best way to clean the inside of the pans is to use soft, nylon sponges. [ Ceramic Pans ] Clean ceramic pans with water and dish soap by hand. If it’s difficult to clean the pans thoroughly, put some water and few drops of vinegar into the pans and heat the pans. The water and vinegar mixture will heat up and clean the pans. Then, rinse the pans, dry them well and rub some sunflower oil on the pans. The pans will look be looking shiny and new. If you cannot get rid of tough grease stains at the bottom of the pans, first clean the pans with hot water and use stronger detergent. Then, if necessary, you could use a plastic sponger and a little bit of scouring agent.
There are components of frying pans and pots that are okay to put in the dishwasher but some components are not safe to put in the dishwasher. Please check the user manual for each product. If it says the product is safe to put in the dishwasher, please do so but make sure to use neutral detergent. Certain dishwashers may not be compatible with frying pans and pots so make sure to check the user manual before cleaning them in the dishwasher.
DO NOT use in a microwave.
The shape of pans and pots could deform if you drop them or excessive force is applied to the exterior of the aluminum pans or pots (The shape of pans and pots do not deform simply due to heat used for cooking).
The handle could become loose over time due to repeated heating and cooling. Tighten the handle using a screw driver but do not apply too much pressure as it may damage the handle.
If normally used at home, the nonstick coating may rarely come off. However, If the pan is stressed a lot such as the use of metallic tools or heating a pan with nothing in it, the coating can get cracked. It is recommended to use a plastic or wooden tool. Refer to the accompanying user manual and follow the instructions. Then, the pan will remain effective long.
There seems to be a lot of misunderstanding regarding PFOA and nonstick coating. But Eugene Tosco’s nonstick coating is made of PTFE and this is completely different from PFOA.
To prolong the lifespan of coating, you need to use a little bit of oil for frying or grilling. You do not need to use oil for boiling or simmering.
If the pan is heated with nothing in it, or it is cooled in cold water or placed on a cold surface when it is very hot, it could be deformed due to thermal shock and abrupt temperature changes. Please wait for the pan to cool before washing
‘ PFOA ’ means perfluorooctanoic acid . EUGENE TOSCO products do not contain PFOA, lead and cadmium for consumers ’ health.
We cannot give you the exact number because the lifespan of coating depends on the conditions in which it is used and how often you use the pans. In order to prolong the lifespan of the nonstick coating, avoid using excessively high heat or heating empty pans. We recommend you to use low to medium heat.
If the bottom is just flat, we can’t tell if it would become convex or concave when heated. If it gets concave, the pan would not be recognized by the induction cooktop. In addition, it would keep spinning and remain unstable on any surface. After all, it becomes a genuinely ‘defective’ pan. To avoid such problem, EUGENE TOSCO pans are designed slightly (nearly 1mm) convexly. Therefore, when heated, the bottom area increases through thermal expansion.
